The demographic profile of my chosen magazines target audience would look something like this. My target audience will be young adults maybe students, who are single or in a relationship, of who belong to the C2 or D social status. From their social status I can conclude that they are skilled manual workers or unskilled manual workers. Kerrang’s target audience will be individuals who have recently left school, in college or at university. From this mood board I can see that my readers enjoy post-hardcore, rock and metal music. Their ideal TV programme would be Scuzz or even the Kerrang music channel. Colours that the readers most favour are blacks, purples, blues and greens. Most of the music magazine readers will be very much into fast food and a stereotypical car for this target audience would be a small car such as fiesta, corsa or saxo. The most suitable type of housing for this target audience would be a flat on the outskirts of a city or still living with their parents. The target audience would most likely buy their clothes from H&M, Topshop/man or the Rock Collection. Kerrang readers are stereotypically scene, with ear stretches, body piercings and tattoos. Typical reader event would be the download festival or the Kerrang tour; also I think that their favourite game would be rock band. To conclude I think that the readers would be yuppies; people that are in there 20 -30s who have a high disposable income.
